Diara Gross, DO
Diara Gross, DO is a considerate and detail-oriented sports medicine physician who has served the community of New York, NY and now resides in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Gross attended medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine affiliated with New York Institute of Technology. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at NYU Langone Medical Center-Rusk Rehabilitation Institute. She then completed a fellowship in sports medicine at North Shore LIJ-Plainview Hospital, now Northwell Health. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology pre-med from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Gross is board certified by both the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as well as the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. She is additionally board certified in Sports Medicine. During her fellowship training, she served as one of the team physicians for Long Island University-CW Post Football team for the 2013 season and was the sole medical provider on hand for the football team’s away games. She also served as one of the medical physicians for the 2013 US Open.
Patients see her for a variety of reasons, including sport injuries, ankle problems, elbow problems, knee and hip problems as well as sports medicine consultations. Dr. Gross provides individualized, comprehensive musculoskeletal care focused on the diagnosis and non-operative treatment of joint and muscle pain through the use of peripheral joint injections, bracing, a customized physical therapy program, and a strategy to return to exercise and an appropriate work-out regimen. Dr. Gross believes in assessing the entire person in the context of joint pain with a holistic approach that focuses on decreasing pain, improving function and improving quality of life.
